No – not grouping them in. Bostin, Minnesota and New York/Jersey all have distinctly different-sounding accents to me. Minnesotan doesn’t sound a thing like Bostonian to me. This is typified for me when comparing, say, Frances McDormand in Fargo or Edie McClurg in – well, pretty much everything – and John Ratzenberger in Cheers, the two most stereotypical examples of each accent I can think of.

Mangetout, I didn’t have my camera with me (and the cold would have damaged it), but there was the most beautiful work glove perched on top of a post, with the snow falling all around.
