I’ll be in the Mile High City all next week, and would greatly appreciate any help in locating some micro-breweries around Downtown Denver, specifically ones that sell pint glasses with their respective brewery logos on them.
Somewhere within reasonable walking distance from the Adam’s Mark Hotel - cheap-ass Company won’t get me a damn rental car…bastards!
The cooler the logo, the better - just a name is kinda boring…

I would definitely go to the Wynkoop Brewing Co. It’s located at 1634 18th St. and it’s right across from Coors Field. Thats probably 1.5 miles or so from Adam’s Mark. They have some kick ass beer (try Patti’s Red Chili Beer for something different) and a pretty good scotch list. The food is hit or miss but I like the atmosphere overall. I’m not sure about the glasses with logos, though. Give 'em a call to find out more… (303) 297-2700.

Unfortunately, you must be dead to do things in Denver. 
Anyway, you’re in luck. The Adam’s Mark is right on the main drag of downtown, the 16th Street Mall. There is a free shuttle that goes up and down this (otherwise-vehicle-free) pedestrian mall at all hours. At the northwest end of the mall – downtown is set up in a grid pattern, but shifted 45 degrees from the grid of the rest of the city – you will find Lower Downtown, or LoDo, which is home to a great concentrations of microbreweries, brewpubs, restarants and the like. Larimer Square is down there, too, with the same type of stuff.

Huh. I was desperate to take the Mint tour when I was in Denver last year but they were suspended for security reasons. Well, maybe not desperate but it was something I really wanted to do. I get the feeling that my brother (whom I was visiting) was happy it was closed; I made him see some “contemporary culture” exhibit at one of the museums (floor after floor of exhibits of shoes and wastebaskets and phones) and I dragged him to (what turned out to be a) high school-level production of “The Importance of Being Earnest” so if he’d have been strong-armed into the Mint tour I think he may well have throttled me.
Next time for sure!
The Mint tour is not as bad as all that, Cranky. It’s not mega-exciting, but it is interesting, in a slow-pased numismatic sort of way. I would go again, mind you, but once was OK.
