Well, Pangea’s looks pretty damn good too. A much fancier joint than my entry.
For the record, Chef Charles decor is nothing to write home about.

I don’t care about the decor, from the site it looks like that guy is making some darn good pizzas. Looking forward to trying it out.
Cool. Be sure to revive this thread when you do.

Well, we made it back and had a great time. As often happens in our family it didn’t go exactly as planned. A couple of days before we left daughter got a call saying several friends/team mates are planning a trip to King’s Island. Of course she decides to do this which leaves older son without a chauffeur so he backs out as well. Good news is that since it is just the two of us we no longer need to take the mini-van. I have a Mustang GT Convertible which we took instead… perfect for cruising around the lake. We also ended up staying an extra day since I really didn’t feel like driving home at night and getting home around 2am. Good news was the reason we would have started so late is they did well in the tournament and the finals weren’t played until 5pm.
Anyway, got there early enough on Friday that we drove to the lake and parked and walked around downtown. Cool town. We grabbed a couple of slices at Pangea… very good. The next night we drove over to Don’s and got curb service. I got a Cherry Shake with real cherries that was wonderful (burger and fries were good too). Sunday night we went with a few other families downtown and ate at the Mackinaw Brewing Co. Then walked to the beach and watched a bit of Mrs. Doubtfire at the giant outdoor screen by the lake. Grabbed a couple of pints of fresh cherries to bring home. Good time, plan to go back with the whole family sometime soon.
Oh, and the King’s Island trip fell through so they both ended up sitting around the house being bored.
