Headed to St Augustine in about 10 days to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary (yes, to each other!). I have not been there since I was a kid, still have vague memories of the fort. We have a condo on Crescent Beach and will drive down so transport is no problem. We are not averse to a day trip or two - might go to Amelia Island one day - otherwise no real plans. Walking or hiking is cool, as is sightseeing, history and good seafood.
What to do outside the condo? (I can handle the rest, thanks)
A nice place for lunch and dinner…
Keep your hands to yourself at the Alligator Farm

It’s hard to avoid a large Spanish Fort in the middle of the tourist area
And there are many, many little shops to browse in downtown.
You don’t need directions; this isn’t NYC or SFO. It’s a small place. Follow the other folks you see.
There are ghost tours, history tours, walking tours and more. More folks will be along shortly with more restaurant suggestions and more ideas.
I do have some condo ideas as well, if you’re game.
Thanks for the info! We have the condo already - don’t remember the name of the complex, but it was highly rated and right on the beach. Gotta do the fort, can’t ever pass up a fort, and the lighthouse is a great idea.
It’s a little bit cheesy, but this was fun.

We saw some peacock mating activity that was ahem… interesting.
I haven’t been there for 20 years or so..but I remember visiting this:
It was a good visit.
