Thinking of joining Hulu

Both their library of shows and original fare seem interesting. People who have it, are you happy with it? Is the No Commercial plan worth the extra couple of bucks or is the Limited Commercials not that bad? Does it have complete seasons of shows because I’ve heard it doesn’t? Any info is appreciated.

I originally got it because I wanted to re-watch Star Trek and they have all of them. I have also found other shows that I enjoyed (Parks and Recreation, Brooklyn 99 and a few of the Hulu original series). However, I’m an unusual case–I spent about 20 years watching little or no TV at all, so I missed a lot of things other people would be caught up on. I think most people find Hulu more limited than most similar services.

I you do get it, I would recommend the ad-free version. Most shows have 10 or 15 minutes worth of commercials when they air on regular TV.

I used to subscribe to Hulu, only stopped because there weren’t any new shows that I thought were worth the subscription and Netflix covered the back-catalog well enough for me.

I highly recommend ad-free, since the ads on Hulu are particularly annoying. They just don’t have a very broad advertising base, so you’ll have to watch the same two or three commercials until they drive you crazy.
