Third party...Hillary

The same sewer it comes from now — disgruntled elderly white female bigots who dropped out of high school, drink, smoke, and are in bad health.

:dubious: Mmm-hm. But how many of those would be willing to bolt the Dems and join her new party? That’s the problem here, see. A third-party candidate needs some base that feels unrepresented by the main parties’ options. Nader found his to the left of the Dems, Buchanan to the right (for certain values of “right”) of the Pubs. Perot tried to carve out a space between the Pubs and Dems, but they both work so hard to play to the center that that’s very difficult to do.

I think Clinton’s too smart to sabotage Obama. She knows people will already being eyeing her with suspicion. So if Obama gets the nomination, she’ll be so enthusiastic in her support it will be astonishing. She’ll want everyone to know by Election Day that she backed the Democratic nominee and was Obama’s strongest supporter. If he wins, she’ll be back in good graces and can claim that she helped get him elected. If he loses, she wants to be sure nobody blames her for not trying hard enough.

I generally agree with you here, especially the smart part. But, just as an intelligent man like Wright can emgage is sabotaging behavior because of his personal flaws (had to link that), Hillary’s ego, drive and lack of ethics will out – that why I can see a shadow run for 2012 as she stumps forn Obama, if he wins the nom.

I may be a little presumptuous here, but I’m sure Liberal was being somewhat facetious.
