There are very few people that can give an opinion on FOX without the standard right-wing flame fest. And yet it is this same group of people who never see the problems with what we think of as “main stream media”.
Every story has bias. Fox is certainly right of center with their talking heads. But they are the only network that you can say that about. EVERY other network is left of center. And no one has ever been able to give a reasonable suggestion of where to go for unbiased news in the US.
So, you watch as much as you can and make informed opinions. The fact that FOX is the most trusted name in news (according to the OP) says alot about how little people trust the CNN, MSNBC, ABC etc. of the lineup.
Popularity isn’t truth. And you know yourself that FOX is horribly biased. You’re not stupid enough to be utterly taken in by them, however you are dishonest and vile enough to pretend that you don’t.

I’ve added quite a bit to this thread. I’m not the one who posted a blindly ideological diatribe pretending that FOX is no worse than the other networks. FOX is worse. It’s terrible and not even subtle. It is cheer-leading for small, angry, petty people who would rather be told comfortable lies than know the facts.

I’m hardly partisan. I look into things before I form strong opinions about them. You however, pretend to have reasons for your opinions (gay marriage) but in actuality you are simply making bad arguments to support your prejudice.

Not that I’m asking you to defend Goldberg; heaven knows that the man can defend himself quite well. But there are people who have read the book and are not moved in the way you seem to hope.

In any case, this subject can not avoid biased citations, but it is clear that Goldberg can not defend his points as you would expect. (Are you really expecting that you can bring cites like Goldberg and ignore the bias? Really?) What many miss about Media Matters is that they offers citations for what they say, (follow the links and often the Nexis citations show up) Mediamatters was founded by a guy that worked before making the same hatchet jobs for the Right as Golberg is doing now, what happened was that he got a conscience.
