This guy's face creeps me the hell out

And there’s dandruff all over his jacket.

Ew. Now that you mention it, it looks like he was knocking down a wall in his house before his picture was taken.

LOL, I was just kidding - it’s dust all over the negative. How unprofessional! When I re-take Filner’s portrait, I’ll make sure the negative is clean before I scan it.

I only know cis- and trans- because I took organic chemistry in college.

Yikes. He still looks like he’s going to push you off a cliff as soon as you turn your back on him.

LOL I was thinking the same thing…

How many babies has he made cry just by smiling at them??

His eyes are too small, or something.

Wow, is there some stretchy EyeLiftBooth app I’m not yet aware of?

He’s my congressman and has helped a lot over the years. When I’ve seen him in person, he really isn’t scary looking.

Bad photographer! No cookie!

Huh. I always thought Pudding-Face was a digital effect.

Reminds me of a billiken:

Bob Filner, huh? He’s going to run for mayor of San Diego, and I hope he wins. Oddly enough, I know someone he’s dating or has dated, and she’s never mentioned being scared by his face.

I think we all agree it’s just a horrible, horrible photo. Probably the effect of an overly-wide focal length on the camera lens, and a very unnatural expression as well. As I said, I volunteer to retake his portrait.

I didn’t know that. There’s a cartoonist down there at the local paper who has an issue with that and, apparently, his face, too.

He looks like the guy who served me my double cheeseburger and fries last night.

Replying to the OP – I get that same vibe from omnipresent televangelist Joel Osteen:

I have a theory about Ostenn, who seems to have too many teeth and weird eyes (this applies to the OP’s guy, too) – he’s the result of a human who was hunted and skinned by some alien Predator race, then taxidermied back together by someone who’d never seen a human before, so they didn’t know what we’re supposed to look like.

(In the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem MA is a stuffe penguin that was taxcidermied by an artisan who had never seen a penguin, and so came out with a weirdly non-penguin shape. Same idea. They keep it on dis[play in East India Hall, te oldest part of the m,useum, as a commentary on the history of museums.)

I’m regretting not seeing this thread the first time around. Because If I had seen it, my response to the following…

…would have been, “Yeah! Let’s stop being offensive and mean and get back on topic, which is making fun of a guy based on his appearance.”

There is something ironic and funny about waltzing into a thread where the purpose is to bash a guy about something he can’t help—the way he was born—then ignoring that, and getting indignant because some other group was possibly, marginally, questionably, and indirectly offended.

We’re supposed to be equal opportunity offenders here on the SDMB. Unless it’s about fat people…they’re off limits.
