Crafter_Man…the only reason you posted was to post your insult to Sen. Wellstone…
That being said…
Here in North Carolina even Sen. Helms had kind words for Sen. Wellstone. That in itself says a lot.
He was a good man. May he rest in peace.

Dumb question time: If this thread is a mourning, why is it in the pit?
There’s another thread in MPSIMS; I think it would be more fitting to post a eulogy there.
I’ll just say that I feel deeply for his family as well as for the families of those that died with him.
Dumb question? 'Cause this is a day even assholes are sad.
The great irony here is that this incredible Senator would have fought hard to protect Crafter_Man’s right to say what he did.
I hurt for those who are grieving. It was hard to listen to his colleagues who were being interviewed via phone. They were sobbing. The country has lost a wonderful leader.
Terrible tragedy. All respects to his family and the people of Minnesota.
Um, let’s see, the current head of the justice department was previously in an election where the Democratic incumbent opponent died in a plane crash just before the election. *
I’m just sayin’
*The dead guy still won.
“Freedom Hater?” “Avowed enemy of liberty?” Man, craft those phrases on your own with reason to do so, or just grab senseless words from the rhetoric of the War on Terrism? Do you know anything of the man’s political beliefs, or are you just being a parrot and pate riot? I’d like to know how you arrived at your opinions, in fact I’m challenging you to support your statements (either here, or in a new thread if my reply is considered a hijack). So please, elucidate this shadowy poster. If you haven’t that in you, let me invite you to my lovely patch of Sansevieria. It’s times like this, that I despair, that it is you and your Ovine brethren that are our latest new clear threat.

Jesus what a surreal-turning thread, between the random drive-by’s and the false memories of the Patriot Act Vote.
That having been said, and having opened myself up to all sorts of abuse, I will say that this arch-conservative gal notes without qualification that IMO the late Sen. Wellstone was a great man of great convictions, and his loss absolutely makes the Senate much poorer as a result. He was a good man, and he and his family deserved to have a full and complete life together.
It makes me very sad.
I think that I’ll close down THIS thread, then, and just let people mourn him in MPSIMS. While this is neither mundane or pointless, feelings of sadness need to be shared.
