This is kind of funny (bad web design)

I just got an e-mail from my employer. Although it was addressed to me personally, to my work e-mail address, I’m pretty sure it was a mass mailing to all employees.

It explained the plight of poor and disenfranchised people all over the world. In this time of giving, would I please consider making a small donation to the poor?

Sure, why not? Yesterday was payday and I can certainly afford $25 to help out some poor Haitians.

I filled out the online form, including name, address, e-mail, and credit card number. I hit the submit button.

But the form didn’t go through. There was an error on it somewhere. Invalid credit card number? Nope. Forgot to fill in my ZIP code? Nope. Didn’t choose an amout to donate? Nope.

Invalid e-mail address.

I used my work e-mail. The one they sent the request to in the first place.

Just in case you should verify that it was really sent from your employer, it sounds like it* could* be a scam to get your cc number and info, and its easy for someone to mask the “from” line of an email with an address that looks like its your employer.
