This is Ulster County, New York's version of "Boaty McBoatface"

I voted, and while I’ve been to New York state, I’m pretty sure I was nowhere near Ulster County. You don’t even have to register; just click the button.

I did as well.

You and me against the world!

I didn’t much care for the first design with “I voted” over a capitol building. The V looked too much like an R for me, and “I Roted” bothered me because it’s too close to “I Riothed”.

I know it wasn’t their intention, but it’s not my pick.

The spider monster is, as others said, eye catching, silly and strange and unexpected. It’s quite the thing, imo.

The nice one I voted for was a person holding a sign that said “I Voted”. Not the capitol building

Shouldn’t it be Votey McVoteface?

Hadn’t even thought of that! Love it!

And were this goofy one not there, I would have voted for the girl holding the “I VOTED” sign.

That’s the only nice one worth a second look, IMO. Surprised the capitol building one is ahead.

Me too, @pulykamell. I suspect because the Capitol is very recognizable. But this should be about the voter, not the voted-in IMO.

After two tedious days of counting ballots, I came home to find this story online. Yep, they used it! Love it.

Yay! I was telling my brothers about this today. I’ll send them the link.

I loved this comment:

And then this:

It beats the guy who had the Romney red and blue “R” logo tattooed on his face back in 2012, I guess.

It says that they gave out stickers using the five runner-up designs for the primary in August, and used the winner for the general election. A good move: It gives recognition of all of the others, too.

I thought of this when one of my Facebook friends who lives in Palm Beach County, Florida posted his “I Voted” sticker, which was also the winner of a contest.

Here’s a winner I found while searching for the Palm Beach sticker.

And here are the winner and runner-up for “I Voted” and “Future Voter” stickers for this contest.

Well, that awful thing with the skull and the most votes is disgusting. But if they could show it encouraged folks tovote who would not have otherwise, I’ll go for it. Anything to get people to the polls.

Told y’all it was “brilliant!”

It’s fine if you say it in Scooby Doo’s voice.
