I applaud them for walking it right back to the venom-spewing assholes in Congress and the media. I hope they keep walking it back to them on a daily basis.

I hope they do too! I would dearly love to see President Bush on television lambasting his critics seven days a week. And I encourage the Republicans in Congress to rally behind our leader and be unstinting in their attacks on those who oppose him.

Bush still can’t admit he’s done anything wrong, or at least, not without saying everyone else was wrong too.

That’s one of the things that pisses me off the most. His stubborn and childish refusal to admit any type of mistake or miscalculation. IMO, acting like he can do no wrong makes him look like he’s operating outside of reality. It’s not like he’s fooling anyone anyway.
Someone should tell him what “sunk cost” fallacy is.

I hope that they don’t start accusing folks of being unpatriotic for their opinions (as occurred during the Vietnam War), but even if they do they have the right.

They ran “unpatriotic” ragged aright after 9/11. Afterall, peace is unAmerican.

We’re talking about the same Adminstration right? Because I seem to remember that Bush hasn’t exactly been sitting there innocently letting the mean old democrats and liberals beat up on him. Rather, he’s been shamelessly bringing up 9/11 and “Support Our troops” anytime someone disagrees with him on pretty much anything. They’ve also been implying, if not outright saying, that those who disagree are “cowardly” “Unpatriotic” “UnAmerican” “Emboldening the Enemy” “Want the terrorists to win” or “Don’t care about the war on terror”.

Ditto. Damn right. Well said. Bush and company have been on the attack (it feels like) forever. But they are no longer just “implying”. The latest round of “speeches” from Bush, Cheney, and their “press secretary” say it straight out.
