I appreciate Cecil’s comments on the question about JM Barrie - author of Peter Pan

Barrie was given as an example on PBS … of social situations shaping the brain response.

He was VERY short

The topic on PBS was that all primates have a hypothalamus. It signals the pituitary which signals the sex glands. Male fish will change color based on territorial success or lack thereof.

At autopsy Barrie was found to have testicles that had not descended.

I have seriously looked into the harm of a chemical (modern name is 2-butoxyethanol) that affects glands & would cause this kind of thing.

I know it’s been around since the 1930s per current chemical company disclosures … it may be something like this type of chemical exposure that is the primary harm in 1918 Spanish flu & bubonic plague. Virus and bacteria may be found … because the system becomes autoimmune & ignores the bacteria. That does not mean it is the bacteria … or that it is the virus that causes the extreme results in these cases. A chemical poisoning of this type of chemical (found in bombs, I suspect) is by vapors in one’s eyes. It is a right now issue, too.

NHL, obesity, diabetes are at epidemic proportions, in my opinion, because the decades of generations of people who are being chemically poisoned by this chemical family

I learned about this because it was the harmful chemical in the Exxon Valdez oil spill cleanup products: Inipol EAP 22 and Corexit

Did you know that the 1964 Alaska earthquake was on 3/34 and on Good Friday?

Did you know that the 1989 Exxon Valdez oil spill was exactly 25 years later: 3/24 also on Good Friday?

Yet, it is ignored by even VALDEZ citizens

If we knew what Valdez people (& those who came to work on the oil spill) have come down with … how many brain tumors, diabetes, cancers, birth defects … it would go a long way to unraveling the mystery of ‘gulf war syndrome’ CFS, CFIDS, the real harm to the Vietnam vet, the Korean vet, today’s soldier & housewives, too

I firmly believe an accurate diagnosis is possible for this group AND
that there is help with good nutrition AND glyconutrient food supplements

I know medical practice would prefer to think mainstream …
but they are missing this cause of ‘flu’ … cause of CFS … cause of diabetes

I KNOW I have found the fatigue causing chemical (& doctors say they do not know what the fatigue is) I believe I know why they don’t find it, and what they have to check to find it.

But no one believes me. I am talking about this assortment of symptoms AND many cancers and birth defects

I suspect it for the cause of President FDR in 1945, Hitler, the Pope and many prominent people. Everyone at every age is at risk if exposed to too much of this chemical

Excuse me? What the heck does this have to do with social situations shaping brain response? Are you saying he thought his way into undescended testicles?

Why do you think it would cause this sort of thing? I have done some investigation on the web and have found no evidence that 2-butoxyethanol could cause undescended testicles. Also, you will forgive if I am skeptical of your cite. It looks like freaky tinfoil hattery.

Autoimmune is when the body’s immune system fights against itself. I do not think that is what you meant to say, but darned if I can tell for sure.

Acute exposure can cause “irritation of the nose and eyes, headache, a metallic taste in their mouths, and vomiting”, but that would require constant exposure and the symptoms would disappear sometime after the chemical is removed.

paints, and inks, and liquid soaps, and cosmetics… If you are looking for a nasty chemical in the Valdez cleanup that would explain a bunch of odd illnesses I think you are barking up the wrong tree.

Tapioca Dextrin and fluiddruid, that is what I thought as well at first. If you carefully read the post though, you will discover that it has nothing to do with the article. It is just a method to segue over to their own wacky issue. This is really more of a MPSIMS.

Just to answer one of your questions. Yes, that is just the point. Everything else gets blamed for what chemicals like 2-butoxyethanol do. You can look anywhere you want to … practically speaking, it isn’t recongnized. But many researchers have found out what it does.

It is primarily an autoimmune causing chemical … first and foremost is the autoimmune response to the red blood cells. My theory is provable, but doctor’s don’t check up on it when someone comes in with ‘the flu’
