i will remember the ‘why’ of Christmas rather than the ‘what i have to do’
i will remember it’s a season of forgiveness
i will remember to forgive others
i will remember to forgive myself as well
not an easy task
but the ‘uneasies’ are the main part of Christmas and of faith…

I will remember that although I will be flat broke after Christmas it was all worth it to see people really appreciate their gifts.
I will remember to keep track of what people want throughout the year so I don’t go crazy trying to think of a last minute gift.
I will remember that no matter how much a love something I buy for someone as a gift it is still a gift and I must part with it, preferably without tears.
I will remember that Domino’s is open on Christmas day, so when I’m hungry but otherwise content I don’t go wander in the car for a good half hour before finding food.

I will remember to save a bunch of money that would otherwise be wasted on unwanted gifts and go to Las Vegas for some fun next year.
Last year I said the same thing but I caved to family guilt again this year. I’m glad it’s over anyway.
