LOL, horse people can tell you stories of clueless passersby who stop to inquire why the horses out in the field are blindfolded, or to alert the owners that their horses are dead! They’re not; they’re just lying down for a nap.
This is true.
I did call the horse farm once to tattle on a horse that had its head, chest, leg and shoulder through the fence like it was trying to escape. It’s sits along a busy highway I was concerned.
They were nice, not really concerned. I’m sure they felt confident he’d stay put but he looked like he was going for it.
Also called the sheriff to report a dozen or more cows galloping alongside the road outside their pasture. We were driving along in a tiny convertible when this 1000lb steer came crashing up a ditch followed by his posse. Scared the hell out of us but they stayed in their lane and paced us for a couple miles. Sheriff knew whose farm the cattle belonged to.
Nice grass. Due to the drought, our pastures look like straw. Ariel is sporting the traffic cone ShooFly boots. And has managed to put a large-ish tear in her fly mask. Good thing I have an emergency back up mask in the car.
