I’m grateful for my dog Brewster. He’s loving, adorable, and in excellent health. This will be my ninth Thanksgiving with him and he will definitely have a little turkey and stuffing in his bowl tonight.

Getting a real job after 6 years of working 2-3 part time jobs.
Working with people who couldn’t be nicer to work with or for.
A job that’s close to home.
A job with regular hours and weekends off.
Friendships that go back 40 years.
Finding pictures of my father (from WW-II) that I didn’t know I had.

The usual – health, gainful employment, financial security, indoor plumbing, constant availability of clean drinking water and an generally an abundant life.
Specific to this year - after living in an acoustically weird noise- transmitting apartment building for close to 20 years above the resident pain in the ass who was quick to let you know every single time he heard you walking or something even if he wasn’t " complaining" I am grateful that karma has granted me a new downstairs neighbor, a lovely young woman who happens to be deaf.
