Since this week’s Dope recent additions includes an update from a Jun-89…
Look for a pretty thorough analysis at:

Summary:
The DNA tests prove convincingly that several Hemmings children are descendents of Jefferson’s grandfather, but every other proof/disproof relies on circumstantial evidence. The DNA proves that Jefferson’s brother Randall could have been the father.
The circumstantial evidence to dispute Randall as the father is based on family records of who was at Monticello and when. There is no record of Randall visiting at the times Sally became pregant. But Randall, who lived close by, was known to visit often. Why bother recording all his comings and goings?
Randall is known from other evidence to have been a late-night drinker and womanizer.
