Granted, TomH, but my whole response to you was more of a response, really. Major General Arthur St. Clair was a Scot and fought on the American side, as was William Alexander, Lord Stirling, etc. etc. etc. My favorite bit of irony, though were the Scots who had been (or their fathers had been) transported to the colonies after the '45 but fought with the British/Loyalist forces against the Americans. Oy.
All you need to start an asylum is an empty room and the right kind of people.
