Thought for the Day

“Some people think luxury is the opposite of poverty. It is not. It is the opposite of vulgarity.” (Coco Chanel)

Apparently, nobody ever pointed to Ms. Chanel just how vulgar living too luxuriously can be.

I hate agreeing with that Nazi whore Coco Chanel, but I do here. It is not expensive to be chic; and it is very easy to be vulgar on a huge budget.

Of course Chanel’s designs were often luxurious and vulgar . . .

I think you can rest easy, Eve. Unless I’m reading this incorrectly, you are disagreeing with her.

“Some people think luxury is the opposite of poverty. It is not. It is the opposite of vulgarity.”

Is she not saying that luxury and vulgarity are opposites? So anything luxurious could not possibly be vulgar? That’s the way I read this, anyhow.

Today, we honor Ronald W. Reagan, whose administration had 138 people indicted. He left a debt we can never repay.

My new sig:

According to Websters Dictionary, an aardvark is “a burrowing African mammal that eats ants”. What if we were more like that? Like the aardvark, not the ants.

We would not mock the brown-nosers nearly so much, for we would all have them:D
