Thought You Are Unique?

I’ve found one guy with my name and he’s a lot like me, only much more conceited.

I found someone on ICQ, while doing a name search for myself, who not only has the same name as me (right down to the middle name) but is also born on the same day as me! He did not know when on that day he was born so we could check closer that that … but same age, same birthday, same full name … crazy stuff I tell you man!!!

Apologies to Arnold W about Arnold W.

I went to Mauve Dog’s US census site: humm, I guess I am more popular than I thought. My first name is ranked within the top 25; maiden name within the top 60 but my married name is over 150. My legal name [the name I use to sign legal documents, file income tax, etc] doesn’t even make the list, granted I did stop after a couple of flips thru the list.

Then I searched Yahoo and found an interesting site http://www.kabalarians.com which is interesting because my SDMB name is listed along with my religious name. I don’t know how many kiffa’s there are; I was just surprised that it was on their list of first names. The analyses of the names are a real hoot.

I checked out the Louis Farrakhan Change Your Name site [at Fade to Black Magazine]. My husband’s African name came out to Raheem, first born son became Shekwan and, I [white] came out Buckwheat… it is a comedy magazine.

I lived in Mali for a while where my name extended to kilometer lengths due to the cultural practice of re-naming strangers. So I am Kadiatou Toure Oumou Bagayoko Coulibaly Keita Fanta Diallo. Frankly I don’t expect to see that name to come up in a Yahoo or any other search.

Well.

Matthew came in 25th.
Wesley came in 171st.

McLauchlin tied for 19846th.
That makes me feel better.

I don’t even have to do a name search to know that my name is unique. I am reminded of this every time someone mispronounces my name, which is pretty much every time anyone says it.

I checked out qwestdex.com and there I was with both phone lines, but no cellphone number. Why is that?
