I’m a extremely leftwing in a lot of ways, but I don’t think shopping is what is ruining the world. I want to buy stuff, dammit! Plastic silly junk stuff too. Woo hoo!
Things like masochistic no shopping days invented by the organic lentle eating classes to make themselves feel better are hardly going to change to world, are they?

I do most of my holiday gift-shopping online, so staying home on Black Friday is nothing new for me. In fact, this year, I’m doing the engineering for a basketball tournament, so I’ll have lots of time to get my shopping done.
