There’s apparently a reference to another thread on the same topic, which was started around the same time as mine. However, the link is bad, and I can’t find the thread.
Because the original thread appeared to be a disguised advertisement, I went ahead and locked off the thread you started refering to it. I would have explained, but sometimes even us moderators have trouble accessing the SDMB.
Out of idle curiosity I checked the thread and noticed that the banned poster MrVanity had 4 posts. Noticing that they had only posted once to that thread, I searched by username - a month ago or sooner and found no others. Were the other 3 simply deleted?
Uhhh … okay. It’s not my Web site, though; it’s something I saw while I was searching around. I thought “how moronic,” so I posted a link. Thought people did that all the time.
This is my Web site, a non-commercial SDMB-like portal for urban planners. It’s linked to the “WWW” button below. It’s not much different than UniBoard, Opal’s site, or other Doper operated Web sites. I only “advertise” it in “What is your Web site?”-type threads.
I still kick myself for not showing up at that one.
Yes, but rumor has it that it took the combined efforts of Gaudere, JillGat, TubaDiva, Lynn, and an unnamed goat. But then again, that was before those blue pills hit the market…
Moderator Orgies are kept top-secret as a matter of nationable security, under the Patriate Act, and by special executive order #45-22(b), which has been approved by every Precedent since Harrison’s second tern.
Lendervetter, the black helicopters will be tracking you shortly.
You’re kicking YOURSELF? Heck, I had retired early to my room, and I only heard about it the next day. I should have known better than to leave everyone while they were still awake.
On the other hand, C K Dexter Haven and TubaDiva had taken me out to my first dim sum restaurant earlier, so I had THAT new experience to savor.
