Three years sober

Way to go!

Spending a short time writing for a Drug and Alcohol Rehab Clinic put the struggle of addiction really into perspective for me.

Much respect to you M’lady.

Thanks, all.

Congrats! Nice to hear from a fellow Montrealer. You will find, I am told, that the desire for alcohol will wane as you get older. A friend who used to be an alcoholic and now is moderate social drinker told me a couple weeks ago that he just cannot drink as much as he used to even when he was drinking moderately. He is 80.

Well done Emily.

Take it one day at a time and the best of luck to you.

Also think of the extra cash you’ll have now you’re not pouring it down the drain on booze…

Bravo Em. I am proud of you. This is a huge deal. You are stronger than you know.

Congrats Emily!

I quit drinking like 20 years ago but will have a bottle on 4th of July or New Year’s Eve. The next day always remind me why I quit.

I have a bottle of MD 2020 in my icebox since New Year’s Eve and it’s coming up again in little over two weeks.

Will I drink it? I doubt it.

Congrats! But don’t think of it as merely not drinking. Think of it as being in control of your life and your future, in all senses. You have the power!

Thanks, everyone.

A toast to Emi…oh…wait.

Um

Let’s eat toast with Emily!

I still do toasts with my friends, with whatever I happen to be drinking.

I was just going to say we can all raise a glass of something to EmilyG for sure. I’m doing Sprite, myself.
