Yes they do. Or at least, they can. One house I owned had previously been owned by someone with exotic gardening tastes (At least as exotic as northern Ohio will allow). Among the many other plants were rhododendrons. Upon studying them to identify the variety I learned they can be grouped by the dates they bloom. Different varieties can bloom from early spring into the fall.

So here’s something to consider: does a movie mess with your suspension of disbelief when the actors are objectively not as the movie portrays them? The old trope where a character is regarded within the movie as unattractive, despite being obviously movie star material. Also includes things like thirty year old teenagers and such.

Prompted by a review of a recent movie where the leads play impoverished diner waitresses, despite being (in real life) successful models. One commenter noted that he couldn’t accept them in the roles, because they were so beautiful- literally beautiful enough to make a good living on their looks.
