It probably isn’t. I get advance copies of a lot of books. I’m in the SFWA circulating book plan, so I get some books the same time as reviewers do – a few weeks in advance.

Both of mine are on order from amazon.co.uk. (Hey, I had to get Where’s My Cow, tool) I wonder if there will be much difference between the UK/US versions.

On the link that was just posted, it says October 1.
