That’s sad, the Last Frontier suffers another blow to rugged Alaskan individuality. I don’t remember this guy when I lived in Soldotna (which isn’t the same as Kenai although the article was headlined "Kenai, Alaska), but I’m not at all surprised at the public support of his ties.
Knowing Soldotna, I’d put my money on them having a fighting chance at winning this thing.
I’m glad you clarified that, because I’d like to say to the others that claimed some sort of “danger” so to speak from service people not wearing uniforms, that wearing a tie, or some other individual accessory WITH one’s uniform is hardly “not wearing a uniform”.
Last thought. Someone had mentioned “maybe the postmistress is a prig”. I can’t imagine anyone in Soldotna, or any of the towns on the Peninsula fo rthat matter, being prigs.
I wonder if she was reassigned there from some post office outside or even Anchorage, and doesn’t really understand “the Peninsula”? That’s possible, I’m still putting my money on Soldotna residents.
