Okay, I hate post counting parties, except for myself.
I am a huge fan of musical theatre, and love Tim Rice’s work CHESS, written with Bjorn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson of ABBA. I recently clicked into a new website dedicated to Rice (www.heartaches.com) that includes an “Ask Tim” e-mail link. I e-mailed a question about foreign language versions of songs from Chess and the rumors of a Swedish version of the show, and HE ANSWERED ME!!! Holy Christmas! They are doing a Swedish version in Stockholm set to up in February 2002, and hope to bring the show back to London and New York (in English) after that.
I was over the wall with his response. It is so cool to hear from the lyricist of Joseph, Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, Chess, Lion King, and Aida! Happy, happy, happy!
. . . and congrats, Annie!
