I can never be first on anything. What a shocker, I didn’t even think he was that old. Any details on how?
Holy fuck. I really enjoyed him.
58 years old. This makes me surprisingly sad. I loved hearing his commentary on the political scene.
The local DC NBC station said it was an apparent heart attack.
He collapsed while doing Meet the Press voiceovers at the bureau.
They just said he collapsed and could not be revived. They probably don’t know the details just yet. 58 isn’t considered that old in this day and age. Shocking.
What the fuck? He was one of my favourite political commentators. I loved the white board; it was so low-tech.
I am sadden and shocked! I thought him a real gentleman.
He was one of the few news people I could stand to watch. Very sad.
No telling how many times on a Sunday I’ve told my wife how much I admired that guy. This is going to take awhile to absorb. It simply shouldn’t have been his time yet. He was too good, too sharp, too decent. Ugh, I just hate this.
That sucks. One of the few journalists that wouldn’t let politicians off the hook so easily. Just sucks.
58 is too young.
He was great, he asked good fair tough questions. I remarked to my friend that if I had to guess I’d say he was a Republican, my friend always assumed he was a Democrat! That just shows you how balanced he was.
I cannot believe this. So sad.
I just screamed in my office. I cannot fucking believe it.
He was the best in the business bar none. When you sat across from him, you’d better have had your ducks in a row. He didn’t care if you were left or right, only that you were informed. What an incredible loss.
I will sorely miss him for the duration of this Presidential election. We watch a lot of political coverage and I have come to really appreciate his work.
My condolences to his family.
This is really sad. He was always fascinating to listen to when he would discuss the campaign.
I think I vaguely recall him talking to someone on-air recently, mentioning how this political season was like his Super Bowl - no sleep, but the most exciting time for him.
I know this might sound trite, but I wish the guy could have lived to at least seen how this election turned out - he was really psyched and totally into every nuance of the political scene.
Holy cow!!
