I’m trying to use video tape to analyze competetive shooting for some friends and myself. I have a Sony Hi8 camcorder a few years old and do some captures on an ATI TV board. The camera adds time code to the tape so each frame is marked in real time. This would be a very useful feature if I could get it imprinted on the video image but the camcorder won’t do that when playing or dubbing a tape. The time code is only displayed on the camera’s built in screen. Any video experts know how to get from here to there or is it time to upgrade?
Did you look in your manual? My Nikon Camcorder from 92 has the same feature but it has a button on it to display time data on the tv screen when playing back.
