Time for another "how dumb can you be" thread??

'Cause I’ve got one!

I’m a member on a pregnancy message board, and I just saw this gem:

Now, 95% of the questions these women ask can be answered by a quick Google search, but this one really got me for some reason. I just replied that the moon goes through a full set of phases every 29.5 days and to get more info, do a Google search.

Have you encountered and/or fought some good ignorance lately?

Actually, I’ve caught myself being judgmental about some of the questions posed. Then I realize that if you don’t know the best thing is probably to ask. We all learned the things we know by some means and we’ve all asked “dumb questions”. Besides, there are some interesting tangents derived from, seemingly, “dumb” questions.

Well, to be fair, the question was probably not meant as ‘how often is the moon full’ but ‘what proportion of pregnancies are affected this way’

Still a kinda foolish question, but not nearly that bad. If you read it the way I do.
