Time for Sex Training again...

I had to sit through DON/Navy harassment training for years. I feel your pain, FCM. Now I just have to read a cheezy memo from the CEO every year at review time and initial the bottom. Much better, IMO.

OK, I’m gonna 'fess up here and I’m trusting you all not to rat me out… The extent of my “training” consisted of me walking past the TV a couple of times when the video was running. I also picked up and flipped the pages of a training manual.

I feel so dirty… Well, no, actually, I don’t.

As for the REAL sex training, see my thread about my upcoming trip to Annapolis, with hubby, sans child…

I worked for a (client) boss who was no more capable of sexual harrassment than he was of flying. He finally got weary and disgusted at all the “training” sessions and printed out the following poster in size 24 font:

Sexual Harrassment Will NOT be Reported in this Deparment.
It will, however, be graded.

Well, I’m a 2LT in the Army, and I endured them every year for the 4 years of ROTC. Once I get to my unit, I’m sure I’ll be now GIVING these classes to my platoon. Ooohh… I can’t wait.

-Hmmm…my 600th post. woo hoo.

Darn you, FairyChatMom, first Moms don’t have sex, then you offer a sex training course. Then there’s no sex in the sex training course.

I’m so confused!!
::exits sucking thumb and holding blankey::

[Chris Rock]There is no sex in the sex training course. Oh, there’s training in the sex training course! But there is no sex…in the sex training course.[/Chris Rock]

Well, not sex harassment training, but I did have to sit through the “Blue Eye/Brown Eye” tape for diversity training. Had a thread I posted on that somewhere in here; no one was ever able to prove my doubts about it.

And as for “legal liability,” that’s a bit of a bogus justification. Companies will trot out records that they gave this type of training as a defense to a harassment/discrimination suit. But it’s pretty flimsy, and I’m guessing it ain’t carrying much weight with the jury given actual egregious conduct. As far as I’m concerned, the people who run these seminars run them as a racket in order to make companies feel more secure that they will be able to fend off lawsuits.
