Picking Palin over Obama wouldn’t have made any sense at all, since she was a much less significant part of the election than he was even if you believe she helped screw McCain’s chances. Paulson would have been the only sensible pick other than Obama, although maybe you could have given it to Paul and Ben Bernanke in tandem.

I was hoping it was one of those cases of “‘embarrassing’ photos of politician when she/he was young and stupid shows up”.

I keep having dreams that Barack is a great president. Intellectually I know that doesn’t mean shit, but emotionally it makes me feel like he’s going to be a great president. The ONLY reasonable choice for man of the year 2008.
