Time to share projects! What are you working on?

18 year books for preschoolers. (19 if you include the teacher.)

Each one using different pictures with the same page layout along with the children’s individual artwork from class that the mom’s have offloaded…errr…given to me.
I’ve had since September to work on them…and the last day of school is May 18th.
I live for deadlines.

So do it! This site offers really clear instructions. I was never able to knit before I found it (2-D instructions were never understandable to me–I couldn’t figure out how to move my hands) and now I have several completed projects and always at least three things going.

Still can’t grok crochet, though. I think I will have to take an in-person class for that, since I haven’t found a good site for it.

I have to say I’m disappointed to see no one’s working on any model kits. :frowning:

I’m building a 1/72 F-20 Tigershark from Hasegawa. It’s a really nice kit on the outside, but detail in the cockpit is nonexistent, so I’m adding that myself.

I’ll probably go insane trying to finish.

bookmarks Thanks! I’ll check it out!

I just finished reworking and rebuilding a 1922 C Melody Saxophone.

I’m going to learn how to play it this weekend.

What do you think? Is two days long enough to learn how to play a sax? I’ve already got 10 minutes of playing time under my belt but that was mostly checking the pads.

I’m making a computer game. It’s an RPG drawing inpiration from games such as Ultima IV and The Pits of Angband, as well as everything else I’ve ever played. It utilizes, admittedly, computer game technology of the year 1989 (hastily thrown together page o’screenshots), but I think it’s nifty anyway.

I got fabric for my sister’s graduation quilt today. It’s going to look so great! I can’t wait to start cutting it up. Well, I already cut up some of it, but haven’t had a chance to really start. Whee!

I’m working on a medium length story(somewhere btween a short story and a novel) that I’ve been working on for the last year or so.

It’s not so much the writing that’s the problem, it’s where I want it to go. I have an endpoint, the two main characters pretty well defined and I have a large section mapped out pretry well, but the rest I have only some ideas about.

My biggest problem at the moment is theme. If I can really figure out the theme I want to run through this, it’ll go some way to helping me derive the story.

Just got done yesterday with my end-of-first-year law exams. So once I get done sleeping for a week and drinking my weight in beer, I’m going to start working seriously on a screenplay to shoot with my wife and friends this summer.

I didn’t realize there were so many quilters here!

My current project is scrappy, with 30’s fabrics. 32 smallish nine-patch blocks that will be set on point, in 3 rows, with sashing strips and a wide border.

Next up will be a planned 2-block quilt, I hope something like what I saw on Simply Quilts on Friday.

I’m finishing up a setting of Percy Shelley’s Autumn: a Dirge for mezzo-soprano, piano, and English horn. I’m also starting preliminary work on a marimba concerto for my brother, and I have a bunch of other ideas for pieces that may or may not actually get written.

Well, the project I really want to tell about is the one I just finished. My daughter’s prom dress, which of course I finished about three hours before she had to wear it. Partly because I was terrified to start it. But I got a big hug and a thank you when she got home, so I guess it was a success.

Meanwhile, I’m doing an afghan (in strips, ugh) for my niece and nephew-in-law as a wedding present. They’ve actually been married for almost three years, but they didn’t have a home of their own for the first year and then they left for Romania with the Peace Corps. So now I can give them this. I’d rather do one that’s all one piece, but this was my late mom’s favorite pattern, so it’s kind of a gift from Grandma, too.

And I’m just about to start a sport shirt for my husband. We ordered a pattern that should actually fit him, so it’s time to get it going. NASCAR and Mickey Mouse, both of his favorite things on one shirt. FUN!

I am writing a paper for a conference on Beowulf. Mainly dealing with corpses and fetishization and Lacan. I have been “working” on it for two weeks. Which means I am really surfing the Straight Dope. So I blame my future academic failures on all of you.

I DID turn in my thesis today, though!

i’m working on romhacking wilford brimley into all the donkey kong games. i’ve had the first for years and just decided to finish the trilogy.
