Time travel in the now - a current reality.

Considering that the natural speed of travel for humans through space-time is as fast or slow as your legs/arms/knees will take you to your next destination, most modern humans now time travel everyday.
To walk from Paris to Delhi would take a snecking long time (months, if you survive), yet one can fly there in a matter of hours (if you survive) - this is an example of traveling through +time into the future.
So has anyone ever traveled back in time? Yes, anyone who lives in a congested city and has watched a pedestrian disappear beyond the horizon while still sat in their car in a gridlock situation lasting hours, has experienced the ultimate -time travel device - a car. Yesterday a friend told me he had turned his car around in frustration and gone back home only to find his grandparents exactly where they had been hours earlier - sleeping in their bed.

On the opposite side of the epicenter of a big bang there is a planet called Earth Alt:196952 it is 700 000 Light years closer to the epicenter than your earth is.
It has evolved quicker than your planet because it is already populated by humans.
They have measured the speed of light to be almost twice the speed of light on your
planet, can anyone tell me how they are correct - or why they have got it all wrong?

Why is it* Earth Alt:196952?*

Experimental error, plain stupidity? Conspiracy?

If they got that different an answer though, they did get it wrong. That much we can say.

Here are my answers:

  1. They are using different units.
  2. They got it wrong.
  3. Magic.
  4. Some as of yet undiscovered theory about space time that I will call magic.

I think you have your relativity backwards though. The faster your reference frame travels, the sower your relative time. An earth that was traveling faster than us would be behind us is “time”.

Also the big bang did not have an epicentre (or any other kind of centre).

Certainly not a General Question. Moved to MPSIMS.

I wish I could have turned this board around and found it as it existed yesterday.

I experienced time travel just now, as I saw the words “Join Date: July 2011” as soon as I saw the thread title, way before I had even clicked on it.

Everyone flying from the east to the west (and crossing at least one time zone) does.

For us, c = c. You’re saying that, for them, c = 2c? Or in other words, 1 = 2? How does that work?

It is actually quite easy to transport yourself back to the 1950’s - just attend a Tea Party convention where the world is frozen in time to about 1952 or so.
