Time Travel Parent Poll

Let’s say that either way your children will exist (just as someone else’s kids) and you are transported back to the time before you had them, would you have children again?

No. I had children, they’re grown now. If I have still have my memories after being transported back in time then I don’t want to do it again. If I don’t have my memories and I’m simply told that I already had children in the future then I’d think you were insane. If my children were young my answer might be different.

Yes, mostly because it’s the only way (or the easiest way) to get grandchildren.

I don’t see any reason to change those decisions. Child rearing is not easy, but it was well worth it to my wife and I.

My only fear would be that I might not get as lucky next time.

Well he’s only 2, so hell yeah. I miss him being a little baby, sitting on my lap, holding my hand.

I might change my mind when he’s a teenager and telling me to go f myself.

Actually, probably not, it would still be worth reliving this time with him.

Raising two kids was the hardest thing I’ve had to adjust to in my adult life. When they were babies/toddlers, the amount of energy and attention they took was so exhausting. And even now, in their teens, they’re more autonomous yet still they require a ton of attention and nurturing.

But now that I know them, I can’t imagine my life without these awesome people with whom I’ll never be as emotionally intimate with a million times more than anyone else on this planet. I’m excited to see what they’ll become in the next phase of their lives.
