Okay, I looked around the site for anything on the subject but came out empty. And I’m not even sure if this should go over to the great debates section. But without further ado…
Is time travel possible?
Short answer: No.
Long answer: NNNOOO.
Actually, I’m rather surprised you didn’t find anything. It depends on what you mean by “time travel”, and what you mean by “possible”, and while we’re at it, what you mean by “Is” and “?”. But if you’re thinking Back to the Future-type time travel, then I will say that there are good reasons for thinking that it’s not possible. It’s not like breaking the sound barrier, where we’ll get it if we keep at it. We’d really have to violate the laws of physics to get it to work.
Forward, maybe. Backwards, almost definately not.
