I’ve had the album Amassakoul by Tinariwen for a few months now, and love it. Touareg tribespeople from the southern Sahara, who picked up electric guitars. Great stuff. I also just happened to look at the liner notes for the first time ever the other day, and realized how great the lyrics (at least as translated) are.
