Tipping Questions

I’m a good tipper, I think. 15 to 20% in good restaurants, 10 to 15% at Dennys. A buck a drink, unless I have zero change, in which case I tip two bucks next round.

I’m not comfortable tipping a barber, though of course it’s expected. Tipping is supposed to be for service (table serving) in addition to a product (food or drinks)… but a haircut is only a service.

And I got downright ticked off when the caterer wanted 15% extra at my sister’s wedding. For Heaven’s sake, I’m paying a caterer for their services up front at a negotiated contract price- and they want 15% extra afterwards ! It makes zero sense to tip on a fricking CONTRACT !
