My truck currently has 30 X 9.50 X 15 tires.
My question is will P235 X 75 X 15 tires fit on the wheels.
Offhand guess is that the existing tires/rims are wider.
Thanks in advance.

Any 15 inch tire will fit a 15 inch rim.
Thanks for the reply Reeder, but my question is about the width of the rim, not diameter.
Perhaps I phrased it badly, but for example, a 20 inch wide dragster tire would obviously not fit on a 10 inch wide rim.
That is what I am asking.
235 mm width is approximately 9", so they should fit.
The other question is “why”? Why would you want a narrower, lower-profile tire? It’s a truck; rotational mass doesn’t matter that much, right?
Generally speaking, the tread can be anything from an inch narrower to an inch wider than the wheel without any negative effects.
I presume this is a 15x9 or 15x8 wheel?
Thanks for the reply.
The reason I ask is because I was quoted $360 for a set of the 9.50 tires and $150 for the 235’s. Just trying to save some bucks.
Have you tried different brands of tires? I had a Jeep and nationally known brand tires were insanely expensive for it, but I got some generic named tires (don’t remember the brand) which were incredibly cheap and performed better than any of the more expensive brand tires I’d had on it in the past.
I hear you man. This is the first set I’m gonna have to buy for this truck, so I am def shopping around. It’s my work truck, and it’s full of tools (remodeling)
BTW, as a hijack, did you ever get that stud off?
:dubious:
Or lugnut I meant, or both…
Yeah, it only took me and the Mold Maker an hour and a half to do it, and the use of a six foot prybar.
Well, at least you didn’t have to get Braaad to help.
Sorry about the hijack mods.
Tire Rack is a great source for info on tires, what sizes will fit what vehicles, etc. It has helpful reviews by customers, and they have pretty good prices, too. www.tirerack.com.
Thanks for the info comma! I will check them out.
Be aware of the load rating of the tires. Your existing tires probably have a higher load rating than the 235s you are looking at for a replacement. If you drove the truck around empty, this probably would not be a concern, but full of tools, you might easily exceed the load rating of the new tires, and bad things can happen in that case.
