Titanium dental implant in sinus

Asking for a friend… who had an oral surgeon push/screw a threaded implant through her upper jaw into her sinus. Dr wants her to wait several weeks for gum to heal before removal by another surgeon. He is not being helpful. Many questions ensue.

Reasonable to wait for gums to heal?
Damage from waiting? (On antibiotics now so hopefully no infection)
How is surgery done? (How to get access to sinus)
By whom - DMD oral surgeon or MD ENT type?

Who pays is an obvious question but probably an interesting negotiation. No dental insurance but good medical.

I don’t see any point in waiting for the gums to heal. She should find a new oral surgeon, have them consult with an ENT.

Go now. Don’t wait. The worse it could be getting a second opinion.
