Oh, and more fun is on the way.
GOP Looks to Escalate Attacks on Obama
This is my favorite part:
It all comes down to an us vs. them mentality. To the far right, it doesn’t matter that the Republicans got their asses handed to them in the last election. It doesn’t matter that Rush and his ilk are talking out of their asses. It doesn’t matter that the Republicans have no new ideas. What matters is that liberalism is evil and that Rush is defending this country against the liberal tide.
I grew up with people like this. Rush or some other right wing talker could say that the sky was green and if some democrat said it was blue, they’d believe Rush unconditionally.
And Rush and the whole conservative AM radio bunch have gotten very rich exploiting that fear.
Honestly, though, do you really believe Rush or any of the other talkers give a shit about this country. Maybe they did at one point, but as long as they keep receiving a fat paycheck, I’m sure they really couldn’t care less if this country was taken over by Communists tommorow. In fact I’m sure they’d find a way to exploit that situation to make even more money.
Sorry for resurrecting a dying thread, but I didn’t feel like starting another new one.
I just felt the need to mention the constant chuckle I get from right-wing’s own “completely unbiased” morning news program, Fox ‘n’ Friends, on the Fox “News” network.
This morning’s episode included a story regarding “Taking the Limbaugh Challenge” in which some completely fair and balanced {wink - wink} correspondent spoke of the hypocricy of the left in that, upon listenting to Rush Limbaugh spew his particular brand of bullshit, they seemed to respond negatively.
I believe the quote was something along the lines of, “I couldn’t believe the vitriol and hatred I got from liberals regarding Limbaugh, even though they accuse him of the same vitriol and hatred.”
No shit. You think?
Limbaugh condemns liberals (on national radio every friggin’ day) as un-American and goes on and on about how worthless, stupid, evil, etc. liberals are … and liberals reaction to that *wasn’t *to give him a big fat hug and a kiss. What a shocker, huh?
Be sure to tune in to *Fox ‘n’ Friends *tomorrow to take “The KKK Challenge”, where we find that black people aren’t very tolerant of dissenting opinions.
It’s the old “you’re a hypocrite for preaching tolerance yet being intolerant of intolerance” canard.
The cyst was pretty cool. It’s the huge gigantic cancerous aberration it was attached to, that was disgusting. Amputate Rush and save the cyst.
That’s One Big Ass Mistake, Assholes.
I’m just a bit surprised by how hard CNN’s been nailing Obama. “A one-term president.” “A failure in Europe.” “More like Jimmy Carter than anything else.”
This is a bit of a bump, but I didn’t want to start a new thread. This is so funny, Charles Barkley called Limbaugh, Hannity and Beck “idiots” on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno among other choice words for Limbaugh, including calling Limbaugh “unpatriotic.” An additional plus is that Leno says that Franken won the election. (link goes to story with video)
Great quote from Barkley: “The Republican party just went rightwing wack nutjob on America and screwed up the country” (and gets applauded).
Cue freeper war on Charles Barkley…three…two…one…
Oh and, as long as I’m here, Congressman Todd Tiahrt (R-KS) said that Rush was “just an entertainer.”
Cue Tiahrt apologizing to Rush…three…two…one…
Zzzzzzzzzz…
Don’t worry SA; we’ll wake you in eight years. Your long nightmare will be over.
One can only hope.
Cue Tiahrt apologizing to Rush…three…two…one…
Tiahrt spokesman Sam Sackett said Tiahrt was not speaking negatively about Limbaugh but was trying to defend him against the suggestion that Limbaugh could be blamed for the GOP’s woes. “The congressman believes Rush is a great leader of the conservative movement in America — not a party leader responsible for election losses,” Sackett told The Eagle editorial board. “Nothing the congressman said diminished the role Rush has played and continues to play in the conservative movement.”

Of course with the dramatic collapse of the right-wing we are seeing now, you will have a whole new 8-year nightmare of another Deomcratic president to deal with at that point. It looks like the Republicans are working hard on giving thier dream of a permanent one-party rule to the Democrats just by eliminating thenselves as a viable alternative.

laugh Jeez, they’re so predictable.
It’s a bit! But it’s funny every time!

Shadegg optimistic for economic revival
Shadegg disagrees with radio commentator Rush Limbaugh, who has said he hopes Obama and his liberal policies fail.
“I sincerely hope he creates the strongest recovery possible,” Shadegg said. “It is petty to worry about who gets the credit when people are losing their jobs and their homes.”
As for Limbaugh, Shadegg said, “I think he is an entertainment personality who is an interesting factor in American politics. I agree with much of what he says on some issues, but not on other issues.”
Shadegg appears to be trying a bit of a pre-emptive “the entertainer need wear no clothes because he’s always stylish” style defense here.
Only time will tell us how that works out for the congressman.
Holding my breath for Shadegg’s apology…
I’m starting to wonder if the Republican Party is running some sort of giant in-joke to make Rush think he matters.
“Let’s all say something slightly insulting about him and then grovel!”
I just can’t figure out what the punchline is.

Somebody wake up Starving Artist and ask him.
