This shouldn’t be on here. I was informed by Martin Hyde in another thread that McCain had spoken up against this new fleet way back during the campaign, as did Obama. I didn’t see his post before posting this.
Thanks Sitnam! Fun remix, though it doesn’t touch the Christain Bale remix in brilliance (or even the acoustic version).
Trion, I don’t know that one. There have been so many stories about the Stimulus reactions by crazy rightwads that it’s hard to keep up.
Do we know the Los Alamitos mayor is a Republican? I would not be surprised if he ran without party affiliation. Many small town positions are basically runindependently. Now he may be a Republican, I just had not heard one way or the other. Of course, given his stupidity he probably is.
Missouri Senator Kit Bond. He proudly voted against the stimulus package…into which he inserted 56 earmarks…but has been proudly campaigning on the passage of the bill. Amazing his head hasn’t snapped off from the whiplash.
One wonders why you are so anxious to change the subject? Rest assured, we have all heard your plaintive aria about the crushing burden of media bias. It is therefore unlikely that an encore will be demanded.
This is the same guy who wanted to throw all the other dope fiends under a bus or something.
He’s just a blowhard on a radio show. He is only as “important” as people make him.
It’s more than that, he’s a blowhard that Republican’s feel they must appease or they’ll lose their core base. Obama’s almost taunting him, which strokes his ego and he gets even more bombastic, and Republicans then have to continue to publicly agree with a loud moron or lose their base.
I love it and I hope Obama continues, Limbaugh ratings for a marginalized Conservative party is a great trade.
Not changing the subject so as inserting a sidebar observation.
Some things bear repeating. The overwhelming view around here is that media bias does not exist, and it is a view that is clung to tenaciously. Thus the exposure of repeated instances of media bias are needed in order to hammer that erroneous view into the ground where it belongs – an endeavor that becomes increasing easy as the media becomes more and more inclined to drop its pretense and openly admit or show its bias.
I disagree for the reasons stated above. Until people can no longer deny media bias and keep a straight face it will be necessary to point to it when it arises.
Besides, I wasn’t the one who raised the issue in the first place. Equipose attempted to use biased media comments to make Limbaugh look laughable, so I’m entitled to show that bias in order to impeach that media’s credibility.
This is a major problem with media bias: once you know they have an agenda everything they say becomes suspect and subject to attack. If you don’t like my attacking it, look to them, not me.
This isn’t difficult to understand really. He very likely opposed the bill philosophically and hoped it wouldn’t pass, but still wanted to make sure that he brought home the pork in case it did. It wouldn’t behoove him politically to allow Dems the nation over to raid the county’s coffers for their own constituencies while allowing his own to go begging.
