Gawd help you if DeSantis runs and loses … the “If we’d nominated Trump we’d have won” legacy will hang over the US for another decade.
The way this aberration is cautorised is for Trump to run and get his orange head kicked in.
Of course, and alas there is a reasonable chance he might win which case, bugger it “Let all the poisons that lie in the mud hatch out”.
And I got “warned” by a mod for being critical of a post someone made? Not seeing the difference here. That said. No fan of DeSantis but he is no Trump at least. I voted for Trump and I eventually realized it was the dumbest thing I’ve done in my long life. No doubt Reagan is losing his mind in his grave over the fact the US put a clod like Trump in the office.
See, I don’t think DeSatanis is that stupid. He knows what runs the machinery of government. Trump doesn’t. He’d fire everybody then wonder why the country is in flames because nobody got their Social Security or military paycheck. He’d rant about disloyalty while the country slid in bankruptcy because nobody was taking care of business. As a “businessman” CFSG never understood, or tried to understand the jobs of the “little peons.” He just thought it all occurred by magic.
I suspect the latter would be worse, or at least has the potential to be worse.
Trump is at this point a known quantity, at least to those who are willing to know. Trump’s presidency was awful, but it could have been worse.
DeSantis is shrewder and more competent than Trump. It’s a really low bar.
I got a fundraiser email from his nibs just yesterday bragging about Schedule F. He said, “As your President, I implemented Schedule F so that Presidents could have the ability to FIRE federal employees who were BYPASSING democracy for their own benefit.”
I put it more as the ability to fire anyone who didn’t do as he said. It was unclear exactly what they were going to do with the money contributed to the Official Drain the Swamp Fund but the fine print at the bottom said something about Paid for by Save America JFC, a joint fundraising committee on behalf of Save America and the Make America Great Again PAC.
Why did I read JFC as Jesus Fucking Christ?
