Exactly. It’s the mid-career demographic with money, people in their late 30s, 40s, and maybe early 50s. Of course 80s nostalgia is going to be ripe for the pickings for marketers.

Probably doesn’t hurt that parents today have kids of roughly the same age as they were in the 80s. I’m 39 now; if I had kids they’d likely be around 10. When I was 10, it was 1988. I’d be constantly reminded of myself at that age–i.e., 80s nostalgia.
