Just what valve, I’ve never heard of such, couldn’t find reference to any ‘valve’ anywhere above the shoulders in any medical texts, and asked my primary care physician at a chance meeting. He stated flatly that the only thing approaching a valve is the epiglottis which prevents food and liquids from entering the windpipe.
What did your ENT mean by valve???
