I’m anti-death penalty in any and all situations. Yep, even the post-war hangings of the Nazi high command.

Murdering scum they may be but a full life sentence in these circumstances seems perfectly reasonable rather than state-sponsored execution.

Yes, and Japanese prisons are not pleasant. More for punnishment/repentance than rehabilitation.

Sadly, prison can’t hold the most powerful. This French criminal Redoine Faid escapes French prison on hijacked helicopter and the Mexican drug lord So Chapo are but two examples.
