Isn’t touching an 11-year-old girl’s genitals is a felony that does not require her parents to “press charges”? The District Attorney in that jurisdiction should be required to explain why there were no charges filed.

Forcing an 11 year old to testify when they don’t want to is generally not a good tactic. In order to get a conviction it is usually a good idea to have cooperative witnesses and victims. This is the real world not tv. Prosecutors don’t go forward with problem cases.

I’m not Meryl Streep so I’m not sure of her exact thoughts. I found it distasteful that Hollywood embraced this convicted rapist because he made some good movies.
You can feel that Sizemore and Polanski are equally abhorrent but the law certainly feels their actions are much different.
