Top 10 Foo Fighters Songs

I was never a huge fan, but it recently struck me how many great songs they have. Here’s my alphabetical list:

All My Life
Everlong
Learn To Fly
Long Road to Ruin
Next Year
No Way Back
The Best of You
Times Like These
The Pretender
Walking After You

Foo Fighters is one of the few bands where I don’t dislike a single song of theirs I’ve listened to. It’s all fantastic or at the very least listenable.

I’m not going to go through and make a Top 10 list, but some you didn’t mention that I love are Big Me, DOA, and My Hero. Their cover of Kung Fu Fighting is also a lot of fun.

I also love February Stars.

I don’t think there is any song of theirs that I dislike, though - they are just consistently good, even at their worst, and they are AWESOME in concert! I’ve seen them twice now, and would go again in a heartbeat. They just put on a great show, and they are very entertaining and have a great rapport with the audience.

Gosh. Both ranking them and limiting them to 10 is very difficult. I guess I’ll do them in chronological order?

This Is A Call
I’ll Stick Around
Hey, Johnny Park
Everlong
New Way Home
Gimme Stitches
Times Like These
Low
DOA
Long Road to Ruin

Honorable Mentions:

Floaty
Alone + Easy Target
Monkey Wrench (This almost made the list, and I switched it with Hey, Johnny Park)
Stacked Actors
Learn to Fly
Have It All
Overdrive
Friend Of A Friend
The Pretender
Baker Street (a cover, so it should hardly count, but an excellent one)

Everlong
Long Road to Ruin
Learn to Fly
Best of You
Big Me
All My Life
Times Like These
My Hero
This is a Call
I’ll Stick Around
On a related note, how did Dave Grohl and Kurt Cobain ever put up with each other when they were in Nirvana together? They seem like they have completely different personalities. Grohl is goofy and funny while Cobain was a melancholy douche.

In order:

Everlong
Big Me
Monkey Wrench
Stacked Actors
This Is A Call
X-Static
Breakout
Floaty
Low
My Hero

My Foo Fighters fandom has clearly taken a dive after the first two albums.
