Man did not evolve from apes. Neither creationists nor evolutionists think this is true.

I am not sure what to make of this. Are you implicitly criticizing evolution? Or are you implicitly criticizing the idea that man evolved from apes, when the best evidence we have indicates that they are our evolutionary cousins, not ancestors? If it is the latter, are you saying scientific ignorance is a new thing?? Surely* you can’t be serious…
I agree with this.
What is “new” about any of these things? Chick and the LB series are recent phenomena, but the ideas they advocate are very old, and in fact used to be accepted by many more people. Cable tv didn’t catch on as a mass medium until about 20 years ago; today you can get satellite tv.
This is fodder for GD, and you should take it there. In any case, is it a sign of a “new” dark age that 95 senators agreed with him?
