Top grossing movies of all time... why?

I don’t think this takes pldennison’s point any further really. Re-read the OP, look at Cheesesteak’s quote . We are talking about the headlines, what you read all the time, what is announced, not what listings you can find if you look for them. My point is that in my opinion, high earning 6th weekend figures are what should be Big News, while what a movie makes on its opening is a big irrelevant yawn that should be buried in the listings for people to look up on Yahoo or whatever if they want.

Several posters have stated that exactly the information the OP asks about is available in one or more formats, and several media outlets report on how a movie does each and every week of it’s run.

Why isn’t that part in 34-Point type? Because no one really cares.
